Sam Parkinson

Sam Parkinson is excited to begin working with Guerilla Opera as their new Fundraising and Development Officer. A local to boston, Sam has worked in all parts of the opera house. Parkinson recently served as an Advancement Assistant at The Boston Conservatory where he also received a master’s degree in vocal performance.

While at the conservatory the baritone sang a number of roles including: Bartolo, Le nozze di Figaro; Dr. Grenvil, La traviata; Immigration Officer, Flight; Sarastro, The Magic Flute; and Haly, L’Italiana in algiers; Father Truelove, The Rake’s Progress.

Parkinson has also been a featured artist at the Trentino Music Festival where he sang Superintendent Budd, Albert Herring; The Forester, The Cunning Little Vixen and Curio, Giulio Cesare.

While receiving a BM and MM in voice performance from The Boston Conservatory, Parkinson co-founded the Boston Conservatory Student Opera; an organization devoted to expanding performance opportunities for young opera students. In the inaugural season Parkinson directed Jake Heggie’s To Hell and Back and Menotti’s The Old Maid and the Thief.
